In the period 2012-2013, cooperation was established regarding the determination of veterinary drug residues, when, as a result of this cooperation, an orientation qualitative method (6-plate method) was introduced into routine work at VIRSVB, which is based on the inhibition of the growth of microorganisms. From 2017 to the present, VIRSVB has been involved with the Czech Development Agency in the project \"Improvement of the food safety system in BiH, Control of the presence of salmonella in the primary production phase\", the aim of which is to strengthen all institutions in the food safety control system in BiH, with an emphasis on salmonella, and is based on the current priorities of partner organizations and in accordance with the recommendations of the European Commission for improvement in this area. Local partners in this project are the Food Safety Agency of BiH, the Veterinary Office of BiH, entity ministries of agriculture, inspectorates, laboratories, economic entities and agricultural producers. The result of this project is, for five years, interlaboratory comparative testing for Salmonella spp. (detection and serotyping) organized by VIRSVB, which includes five laboratories from BiH. The organization of this interlaboratory comparative testing was assessed satisfactorily, as were the laboratories, which were also successful. Also, VIRVSVB representatives were on a study visit to the Republic of China, on the topic of biosecurity on pig farms and diagnostics of infectious
