On February 2, 2026, the constitutive session of the Scientific Council of VIRSVB was held, at which the members of the Scientific Council for the third term were elected for the next four-year period.
The Scientific Council is composed of 11 members, seven of whom are from VIRSVB and four from other institutions (two from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Belgrade, and one member each from the Institute for Hygiene and Meat Technology, Belgrade, and the Faculty of Medicine, University of Banja Luka).
Professor Drago Nedic was elected President of the Scientific Council, and Research Associate Dragan Knezevic was elected Vice President. The session reviewed the report on the work of the Scientific Council in the previous term, which was deemed very successful.
The discussion also covered current topics in scientific research and proposals for the work plan of the current session of the Scientific Council.
